The Blue Dot Story

A call to something bigger.

Blue Dot was founded on two hearts and a lofty vision: branded products that create positive impact. Companies needed better, more sustainable swag options. But Blue Dot co-founders Kelly and Rachele wondered, “How do we move the $24b branded merchandise industry toward a sustainable future?”

A step toward environmental and social change.

Once the vision was clear, they began the search beyond the traditional branded merchandise supply chain to vet and source smarter products: less waste, greater transparency, better quality. Their proprietary platform captures impact data on every product so companies can shop according to their values of sustainability and social care.

BLUE DOT IS A “1% FOR THE PLANET” MEMBER.

1% for the Planet is a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions through annual membership and everyday actions. Blue Dot donates 1% of our top line revenue to non profit organizations that are tackling climate change.

Our 1% for the Planet Donation Recipients Were:

  • The LES Ecology Center has pioneered community-based models in urban sustainability since 1987. They provide unique e-waste and composting services, environmental stewardship opportunities, and educational programming to all New Yorkers who want to learn about environmental issues and take responsibility for creating solutions through action.

  • Custom Collaborative trains, mentors, and advocates for and with low to no-income and immigrant women to build the skills necessary to achieve economic success in the sustainable fashion industry and broader society. They support women through their Training Institute, their Business Incubator, and through "Fashion that Works", a worker-owned cooperative.

  • One Tree Planted wants to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Together we can restore forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact around the world. In 2021, Blue Dot planted 2,000 trees through our donation to One Tree Planted.
